Care & Counselling

The Medical Social Workers in our department attend to patients and their families who have difficulty in coping with their emotional, psychological and social issues arising from their skin conditions.
As a multi-disciplinary team player, we aim to provide patients and their families with holistic care and optimize their well-beings and functioning through collaboration with the healthcare team and community organizations.

Our Services:
1. Counselling

  • Providing counselling to patients and their families in order to enhance their coping skills in emotional, psychological, social and practical issues arising from their skin conditions.

2. Financial & Practical Assistance

  • Conducting psychosocial assessment & providing financial assistance with medical bills for needy patients
  • Providing information & external referral services of community resources for further emotional and practical support

3. Support Groups

  • Conducting Support Groups for patients with similar skin conditions to enhance patients’ understanding of their skin conditions and various coping skills.
  • Some of these groups include the Psoriasis & Atopic Dermatitis Support Groups.

4. Referral
Please call us at 6350 8560 if you have further enquiries on the services that are available for your specific needs. Patients can also request to see our Medical Social Workers for assistance during your visit to our Centre.
